Side: Excursions to Aspendos are combined by the tour operators with a visit to the old town of Side. The amphitheater in Side is not as well preserved as in Aspendos but just as impressive. Many other buildings from Sides' 3,000 year history await you in the old town. There are innumerable jewelers, carpet dealers, souvenir shops and restaurants. Unfortunately, they are among the most expensive along the Turkish Riviera. The houses in the old town were built in the original Ottoman style. They date from the end of the 19th century. At that time, the place was repopulated after many centuries. On a tour you can also see the Side Museum, the Apollon Temple and the old city harbor.

River trip on the Manavgat
Boats leave Manavgat for the waterfalls in the north and the river mouth in the south at Titreyengöl. Performances by musicians and belly dancers provide entertainment on the 3-4 hour boat trip. There is food and drink on board. There is a break for swimming at the mouth of the sea.

Manavgat
In Manavgat there is a great bazaar and the waterfalls on the Manavgat River. With over 100,000 inhabitants, the city is one of the largest settlements on the Turkish Riviera. Excursions to Aspendos / Side are the last stop and most stop at the Manavgat waterfalls. They offer good cooling in the summer months on particularly hot days. There are excellent Dolmus connections between Antalya and Manavgat.
